Our Core Privacy Commitment

We understand that prenuptial planning involves your most confidential relationship conversations and financial assets. Vespera is built with privacy-first architecture: we never sell, rent, monetize, or broker your personal financial balance sheets, and we never share your data with advertisers.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Vespera, we collect information necessary to facilitate your premarital alignment and prepare your brief for legal counsel:

  • Account & Contact Information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials (such as Google OAuth profile tokens).
  • Premarital Disclosures: Information you voluntarily input regarding personal and marital property (real estate, cash accounts, RSUs, startup equity, debts, business ownership, and approximate valuations).
  • Scenario & Policy Responses: Choices selected across our guided marital philosophy modules, along with confidential notes for your independent attorney.
  • Uploaded Documentation: Optional supporting schedule attachments you upload for disclosure review.

2. How Partner Privacy Works (“Blind-Then-Reveal”)

To ensure honest alignment without peer pressure, Vespera isolates each partner’s answers during the drafting phase. Your partner cannot view your scenario selections until both partners have completed their responses and triggered the simultaneous reveal. Confidential attorney notes remain strictly visible only to you and your own attorney and are never disclosed to your partner.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information exclusively to:

  • Authenticate your identity and securely connect your couple session.
  • Compute consensus points and highlight divergences between partner answers.
  • Generate printable PDF and Word (.docx) drafting briefs for your attorneys.
  • Send critical transactional notifications (such as partner invite links and completion alerts).

4. Data Security & Infrastructure

All traffic to Vespera is transmitted using TLS 1.3 encryption. Your data is stored in enterprise-grade cloud databases with encryption at rest. We rely on industry-standard infrastructure providers:

  • Hosting & Edge Network: Vercel (SOC 2 Type II certified).
  • Database & Authentication: Supabase (PostgreSQL with Row-Level Security and encryption at rest).
  • Transactional Email: Resend (DKIM, SPF, and DMARC authenticated).

5. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You maintain full control over your information. At any time, you may export your complete disclosure report or request permanent deletion of your account, active sessions, and uploaded schedules. To request permanent deletion of your data, email us at [email protected] from your registered account email, and your records will be purged within 30 days.
